1. Aaron Rodgers has best chance to win with Packers

The grass isn’t always greener elsewhere. When Rodgers weighs up which potential teams give him the best chance to win in 2022, it’s the Green Bay Packers.

The Denver Broncos is a possible landing spot for Rodgers, but would he have a better chance of winning there?

Yes, the Broncos have a talented roster and look to be a QB away. Yes, Nathaniel Hackett taking over as head coach would mean Rodgers would have familiarity with the offense. But Rodgers is also a quarterback who needs to trust his receivers, and that takes time. For as talented as Denver’s receiving corps might be, it would take time for Rodgers to build chemistry with his new pass catchers.

Denver also plays in the AFC West. Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have dominated that division. With Mahomes as the starter, the Chiefs have won four straight division titles and hosted the AFC Championship Game each year.

The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers also play in the AFC West. Put Rodgers on the Broncos and this would become one of the toughest divisions in football.

There’s a good chance Rodgers’ Broncos would have to make a playoff run as a wild-card team. Compare that to the NFC North, where the Packers would be overwhelming favorites.

Not to mention, the Packers have a loaded roster. They would need to work some cap magic to re-sign some players, which we’ll get to in a moment, but the Packers have a lot of talent to build around. Green Bay had seven players make Pro Football Focus’ top 101 players of 2021 rankings.

The Broncos? They had zero.
