Packers: 3 potential replacements for Davante Adams after trade
Free agency: Packers could sign Odell Beckham Jr.
Odell Beckham Jr. played a key role in the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl run last season. Could he do the same in Green Bay? Of course, Beckham tore his ACL in the Super Bowl so it’s unclear when he would be available to return. But even without Adams, the Packers will be strong favorites in the NFC North and should make the playoffs.
They wouldn’t need Beckham to be healthy for Week 1, but if he could contribute down the stretch and in the playoffs, he could be a great signing.
Beckham is still only 29 years old so could have plenty of great football ahead of him. The three-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro has five 1,000-yard seasons to his name and is the best remaining wide receiver available in free agency.
Not to mention that Beckham almost chose the Packers over the Rams last season, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. With Beckham now a free agent and the Rams signing Allen Robinson in free agency, Beckham to Green Bay could make a lot of sense.
Beckham’s injury could mean he misses time next season, but as long as he’s on track to return at some point in 2022, he could help the Packers’ offense in a big way.
