Packers dream mock draft: The perfect haul for Green Bay in 2022
What would be a dream draft haul for the Green Bay Packers in 2022?
Just weeks away from the 2022 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers will be aiming to put their multiple high picks to good use.
With needs at wide receiver, edge rusher, safety, and offensive line, the Packers could go in a number of different directions on draft day.
In this mock draft, we will look at what would be a “dream” haul. One where the Packers address their top needs. Of course, it has to be within reason, so Drake London doesn’t fall to the second round. But this could be considered a best-case scenario.
We start with a trade.
Packers trade with Texans
With Aaron Rodgers signing a new deal this offseason, Jordan Love won’t be getting an opportunity to become QB1 anytime soon. With two years remaining on his rookie contract, now might be the best time to entertain trade offers.
Yes, every team needs a backup QB. However, if Rodgers misses significant time, we can forget about the Super Bowl regardless of who is throwing the football.
Here, the Houston Texans decide to trade for a young quarterback to develop. A former first-round pick, no less. They part ways with the 37th overall selection. Green Bay sends one of its two fourth-rounders the other way.
The Packers now have three picks in the second round and two in the first with the trade.
