Round 3 (92): Jalen Tolbert, WR, South Alabama

Even after drafting Chris Olave and signing Sammy Watkins, the Packers should still look for a second wide receiver in the draft. South Alabama’s Jalen Tolbert would make a lot of sense at No. 92 if he’s still available.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com had high praise for Tolbert in his draft profile:

"“Silky smooth athlete who has morphed into a monster over the last two seasons. Tolbert is a high-character prospect with skill elements that are dripping with NFL potential.”"

Tolbert is 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, and ran a 4.49 40-yard dash. He is good after the catch and is capable of making big plays.

He has the potential to become an excellent WR2 in the Packers’ offense eventually.

With their offseason moves, the Packers would’ve done an excellent job rebuilding their wide receiver corps.

While there might not initially be a clear-cut WR1, a group of Olave, Tolbert, Watkins, Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, and Amari Rodgers would give Matt LaFleur plenty of talent to work with.

In this mock draft, the Packers land two exciting wide receiver prospects while also using resources on building the defense.

We’ll find out how Brian Gutekunst plans to address positions of need in the draft two weeks from now.
