The entire NFL schedule is set to be released on Thursday. The Green Bay Packers, like every team, already know who they are facing this fall.

Aside from their October 9 date with the New York Giants across the pond, Green Bay doesn’t know when they will be playing the rest of their opponents.

Regardless, the team is set for another successful, double digit-win season.

Before the schedule release, let’s predict the regular season record of Matt LaFleur’s team. Remember, a lot can and will change between now and early September.

Packers’ road games in 2022

Chicago Bears – W

The Chicago Bears are a rebuilding franchise. Aaron Rodgers owns Soldier Field. Green Bay has not lost to Chicago since Matt LaFleur took over (6-0).

Minnesota Vikings – W

These matchups in Minnesota always seem to be tight. But with a rookie head coach in Kevin O’Connell coming in and Kirk Cousins’ inability to escape pressure, the Packers should pull out a close one in Minneapolis.

Detroit Lions – W

The Detroit Lions have a very real shot to not finish last in the NFC North this season. They will be a better team certainly, but not against the Packers.

Miami Dolphins – W

The Miami Dolphins got a whole lot better this offseason. Acquiring Tyreek Hill was just the tip of the iceberg for Mike McDaniel’s squad.

Miami is a dangerous team with a lot of speed. But Green Bay’s core veterans have played together for a much longer period of time. This could be a trap game, but expect the more seasoned team to come out of this one on top.

Buffalo Bills – L

We could be looking at a Super Bowl preview here. The two best quarterbacks in the league will go at it in an absolute shootout against two of the league’s best defenses. In the end, Buffalo will get the ball last.

Philadelphia Eagles – W

The Eagles are a sleeper in the NFC. After acquiring Pro Bowl wide receiver A.J. Brown during the draft, Jalen Hurts has a solid offensive core around him.

It might be close early on, but expect Matt LaFleur’s offense to take it up a notch in the second half with Joe Barry’s defense putting the clamps on the young Philadelphia QB late.

Washington Commanders – W

Green Bay has a ball-hawking secondary. Carson Wentz has recently played like a QB that loves to take risks. Look for Joe Barry’s defense to force multiple turnovers in Washington.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers – W

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady meet again for what could be the final time. These are the two greatest quarterbacks of all time. This time, Rodgers gets the better of Brady as the Packers’ offense wrecks havoc on new head coach Todd Bowles’ aging defense, especially up front.

Packers’ home games in 2022

Chicago Bears – W

Aaron Rodgers owns the Bears at 1265 Lombardi Ave., too.

Minnesota Vikings – W

Green Bay sweeps another bitter division rival as Minnesota will fail to keep up with the offensive fireworks show from Rodgers, Aaron Jones, and an increasingly scary WR corps.

Detroit Lions – W

This could be a Week 18 game because the NFL usually loves to place Detroit against Green Bay, a divisional matchup, late in the season. Regardless, look for the Packers to handle a rebuilding Detroit squad at home.

Dallas Cowboys – W

In the first matchup between Aaron Rodgers and his former head coach Mike McCarthy, Rodgers will get the better of his old boss.

No. 12 has had the Cowboys’ number for a long time. He is 7-3 against Dallas in his career with a 2-0 record in the postseason. The Packers have won five out of the last six matchups vs. Dallas.

The Cowboys will be a desperate team late in the year while Green Bay will be clicking on all cylinders.

New York Giants (London) – W

In a massive marketing game for the NFL, the smaller market will dismantle the bigger market. This will be the first time the Packers play overseas in the regular season.

They will be fired up to play in front of a lot of their international fans. The Giants are searching for answers. This has a Green Bay win written all over it.

New England Patriots – W

The Packers and Patriots do not play very often. They have met just three times in the past 13 years. This will be the first time they meet at Lambeau since 2014.

The Patriots are certainly a playoff team with the greatest coach of all time leading them. But Green Bay’s roster and veteran experience should bode well for them in this Super Bowl XXXI rematch.

New York Jets – W

The only way the Jets make this game close is if head coach Robert Saleh has some secret intel on his best friend Matt LaFleur. The Packers as a franchise and roster are on a different level. This game should not be close.

Los Angeles Rams – W

This much-anticipated matchup will be an NFC Championship preview. The reason I believe the Rams are not necessarily a threat to the Packers is because Green Bay has handled the Rams each of the last two times they have faced each other (combined score of 68-44).

Matthew Stafford has plenty of experience playing at Lambeau Field from his time in Detroit. They weren’t great experiences (3-7 record at Lambeau with two of those wins coming against someone not named Aaron Rodgers).

Green Bay will win their third straight over the defending Super Bowl champions.

Tennessee Titans – W

After losing A.J. Brown, the Titans’ offense will look to recently-signed receiver Robert Woods and rookie Treylon Burks to help pick up the slack. MVP candidate Derrick Henry is pretty good at what he does in the backfield, too.

But it won’t be enough at Lambeau as Matt LaFleur will get his second consecutive win over his old team.

Packers predicted 2022 record: 16-1

A predicted record of 16-1 is certainly ambitious for a team that just loss three of its starting receivers, including franchise legend Davante Adams.

Plus, the return of Tom Brady and facing Super Bowl contenders in the Rams and Bills could all make the season a little treacherous.

Games against Minnesota, Tampa, Los Angeles, Buffalo, and Miami will be close.

But let’s not forget what Green Bay has at their disposal. When you have the roster the Packers have and their experience (both on the field and on the coaching staff), they will be in a great spot in mid-January.

This team has won 39 games over the last three seasons. That is the most in NFL history through three seasons without winning a Super Bowl. This team is due.
