Week 4: New England Patriots

Eight years ago, this matchup had a very different feel to it.

Tom Brady’s New England Patriots arrived at Lambeau Field having won seven games in a row. The Packers were also in fantastic form, with seven wins from eight.

With the excitement of a possible Super Bowl preview, the game didn’t disappoint. Green Bay picked up a 26-21 win in a Lambeau thriller.

Perhaps the saddest part of the 2014 season is that we didn’t get a rematch in the Super Bowl. We all know what happened in the NFC title game.

Eight years on, Aaron Rodgers is still in Green Bay and on top of his game, having won back-to-back NFL MVP awards. However, Brady is now in the NFC with second-year quarterback Mac Jones running the show in New England.

In year one, Jones showed plenty of potential, but the Patriots will struggle to keep pace with the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.

New England will likely be in the mix for a wild-card berth, but given the strength of the AFC, it won’t be easy for Bill Belichick’s team to make it.

A challenging game for the Packers, but one they should expect to win at Lambeau Field.

Prediction: Green Bay 35, New England 21 (3-1)
