The Green Bay Packers have announced they will open the 2022 regular season against two divisional opponents.

According to the team’s official Twitter account, the Packers will open the season on the road against the Minnesota Vikings.

They will then host the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football in Week 2, the team announced.

It’s a huge start to the season for the Packers.

A great opportunity to put a couple of divisional victories on the board.

It won’t be easy, though. A trip to U.S. Bank Stadium is always challenging. Especially when it’s in the first game of the season. The stadium is going to be loud.

Which Packers games have been announced?

The full NFL schedule release comes later on tonight. So far, the team’s website has five games listed on the schedule:

Here are the confirmed games announced on the Packers’ official website:

  • Week 1: at Minnesota Vikings (September 11, 3:25 p.m. CT)
  • Week 2: vs. Chicago Bears (September 18, 7:20 p.m. CT)
  • Week 3: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (September 25, 3:25 p.m. CT)
  • Week 5: vs. New York Giants (October 9, 8:30 a.m. CT) – London
  • Week 10: vs. Dallas Cowboys (November 13, 3:25 p.m. CT)

Green Bay will face a tough start to the season. Two road games in three weeks, and two divisional games.

If the Packers can come away with victories over the Vikings, Bears, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, it would give them an incredible start in the NFC playoff picture. Winning all three will be no easy task, however.

There are many schedule rumors out there, but for now, there are just five games officially listed on the team’s website.

At 7 p.m. CT, the regular season schedule will be released in full.
