Which Green Bay Packers players are set to become free agents in 2023?

The Green Bay Packers had to make a number of difficult decisions in free agency this offseason.

That included placing the franchise tag on All-Pro wide receiver Davante Adams before trading him to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Every year, there are tough decisions to make when it comes to re-signing players and letting others walk.

Unfortunately, it will be no different for the Packers next offseason. Here is a list of their upcoming free agents in 2023, according to Spotrac:

Packers 2023 unrestricted free agents

  • S Adrian Amos
  • OL Elgton Jenkins
  • WR Allen Lazard
  • WR Randall Cobb
  • WR Sammy Watkins
  • TE Robert Tonyan
  • DT Dean Lowry
  • K Mason Crosby
  • TE Marcedes Lewis
  • DT Jarran Reed
  • OL Yosh Nijman
  • ILB Ty Summers
  • CB Keisean Nixon

Some key players on this list.

The Packers should aim to get a deal done with Elgton Jenkins this summer. The Pro Bowler is so vital to the Packers’ offensive line. He can play at a Pro Bowl level at all five positions.

Jenkins will likely want tackle money, but he is well worth it. And his future looks set to be at tackle in Green Bay.

A tough decision will need to be made with Adrian Amos.

Amos has been outstanding ever since arriving in Green Bay via free agency in 2019. However, he turns 30 next offseason. Will the Packers want to commit to a long-term extension?

Allen Lazard and Robert Tonyan (when healthy) have huge opportunities in 2022 with Davante Adams gone. If they can step up and become key pass-catchers for Green Bay, it could land them contract extensions next spring.

It is also a big year for kicker Mason Crosby. He struggled in 2021. Assuming he makes the roster this season, Crosby will need to bounce back to land a new deal.
