Three Green Bay Packers players who could be surprisingly cut before playing a single snap in 2022.

The Green Bay Packers still have a few months before they will need to trim their roster down to 53 players. Before then, they will complete their organized team activities, mandatory minicamp, and training camp.

Once we reach late August to September, there will be some surprise cuts around the league. We could see some from the Packers, too.

Josh Sitton was a surprise cut in 2016. He had been a multi-time All-Pro at guard in Green Bay. Nobody expected to see him get cut before the start of the 2016 season.

The same was true in 2019, Matt LaFleur’s first season as head coach, when Pro Bowl defensive lineman Mike Daniels was cut in July. He would end up signing with the division-rival Detroit Lions.

This isn’t to say the Packers will necessarily make any moves as surprising as cutting Sitton and Daniels proved to be, but general manager Brian Gutekunst will have some big decisions to make.

Which wide receivers will make the roster? Who wins the jobs along the offensive line? The Packers have good competition at various positions, which is never a bad thing.

With that in mind, here are three players who could be cut before playing a snap in 2022.
