Packers post-minicamp 53-man roster predictions with depth chart
Tight ends (4)
- Robert Tonyan
- Marcedes Lewis
- Josiah Deguara
- Tyler Davis
This assumes Robert Tonyan will be healthy for the start of the season. He is recovering from a torn ACL. If Tonyan has to begin the season on the PUP list, Dominique Dafney would be my next choice to make the 53-man roster.
Tyler Davis continues to receive praise from the coaching staff. It’s hard to see a situation where he doesn’t make the 53. If Tonyan misses any time, Davis could get plenty of snaps early this season.
Offensive line (9)
- David Bakhtiari (LT)
- Jon Runyan Jr. (LG)
- Josh Myers (C)
- Royce Newman (RG)
- Yosh Nijman (RT)
- Sean Rhyan
- Zach Tom
- Rasheed Walker
- Cole Van Lanen
PUP: Elgton Jenkins
Again, it’s difficult to know when Elgton Jenkins will be ready to return. If he is cleared by Week 1 or is close, he will make the 53-man roster. If he needs extra recovery time, he could start the season on the PUP list.
What stands out here is the Packers’ incredible depth, particularly at the interior positions.
A strong case could be made for rookies Sean Rhyan and Zach Tom winning starting jobs. It should make for a fun competition at training camp.
Once Jenkins is back, this can be a dominant offensive line.
