3. CB Charles Woodson

One of the greatest defensive players in Green Bay Packers history. It doesn’t matter if the 2022 team doesn’t desperately need cornerback help, there’s no way Charles Woodson couldn’t be included.

The Hall-of-Famer is a nine-time Pro Bowler and eight-time All-Pro. Can you imagine him in a secondary featuring Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, and Rasul Douglas?

Woodson spent seven years in Green Bay, starting exactly 100 games in the regular season. He helped the team win the Super Bowl in 2010.

How would Charles Woodson help 2022 Packers?

Turnovers.

Woodson’s all-around play would help the Packers, but his turnover ability would take this defense to another level.

Green Bay’s front seven is the deepest we’ve seen in years. They will put quarterbacks under pressure and force mistakes, and Woodson is a player who would make the most of turnover opportunities.

During his time with the Packers, Woodson made 99 pass defenses and 38 interceptions, nine of which he returned for touchdowns. Twice, he led the NFL in interceptions.

This Packers defense has the potential to be among the top five in the NFL. Add a game-changing talent like Woodson, and they would be far and away No. 1 in the league.

If Green Bay’s defense had Woodson in his prime starting each game, the Lombardi Trophy would already be on its way home.
