Jarran Reed was one of the Packers’ free agency additions and is part of the reason why many have high expectations for the defensive line this season. Pro Football Focus ranked each defensive line in the NFL, with the Packers coming in at No. 3.

When was the last time Green Bay’s defensive front earned such praise?

Reed is absolutely a part of that. He has been a starter everywhere he has played in the NFL, so he will have every chance of landing a starting spot in Joe Barry’s defense this summer.

The former Seattle Seahawk is an excellent interior pass rusher, having made 21.5 sacks and 58 quarterback hits over the past four seasons.

It will be interesting to see how he performs at training camp. While he should be considered a frontrunner for a starting job, he will face competition from rookie Devonte Wyatt and Dean Lowry.

Where will Joe Barry have Reed line up the most? Will he be moved around the defensive line?

It will be fun to watch the pairing of Reed and Kenny Clark. Together, they can create a lot of problems for opposing quarterbacks.
