3. WR Allen Lazard

There is a very real possibility that Allen Lazard will be the Packers’ leading receiver in 2022.

Following the departure of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Lazard becomes the most obvious choice to step into the WR1 role.

While we shouldn’t expect Lazard to dominate the targets as Adams did — the Packers will need to spread the ball around — he could become Aaron Rodgers’ top target.

Randall Cobb has more experience with Rodgers, but he isn’t a great fit as a WR1. Lazard has earned Rodgers’ trust and can be counted on to make plays when the Packers need him to.

The question moving forward is whether Lazard can make the step up from complementary receiver to top target. Can he lead the way for this new-look wide receiver corps?

Green Bay added three receivers in the draft in Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, and Samori Toure, but it is difficult to predict how long it will take each of them to develop. In the meantime, Rodgers will likely lean on the wide receivers he trusts the most. Right at the top of the list is Lazard.

It will be fascinating to see how Matt LaFleur uses Lazard this summer and whether he is on track to become the Packers’ top target.
