What are the five biggest concerns for the Green Bay Packers ahead of the 2022 season?

There’s a lot to be optimistic about when it comes to the Green Bay Packers this season.

With Aaron Rodgers returning, a potential top-five defense, and the talent added this offseason, the Packers should remain in contention for a championship.

However, there are some areas of concern for the Packers ahead of the 2022 season. Let’s look at the top five.

5. Special teams

Special teams has been an issue for a long time in Green Bay.

It only got worse in 2022. Missed kicks, poor coverage, fumbles, muffed punts — you name it. Everything that could go wrong, did. And it cost the Packers dearly in the playoffs when Mason Crosby had a field goal blocked, then a blocked punt led to a San Francisco 49ers touchdown.

Head coach Matt LaFleur responded by hiring veteran special teams coach Rich Bisaccia and Green Bay drafted players who can help on special teams like Jonathan Ford and Tariq Carpenter.

Still, until we see significant improvements on the field, there will be concerns about this group.

Special teams cost the Packers last season. They can’t allow the same to happen again this year.
