Packers: Three teams that could trade for Jordan Love
Which three teams could consider trading for Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love next offseason?
Jordan Love’s long-term future with the Green Bay Packers remains up in the air.
Back-to-back MVP winner Aaron Rodgers signed a multi-year contract extension with the Packers this spring, although he hasn’t committed to playing anything beyond this season.
Rodgers’ contract will expire at the end of the 2026 season, although it is doubtful he will be playing that long.
It sure seems likely Rodgers will finish his career in Green Bay. But will he retire after one more season? Two? Three?
That remains unclear, so we also don’t know whether Rodgers will still be the Packers’ quarterback when Love’s rookie deal comes to an end. Love is under contract until the end of the 2023 season, although the Packers will have a fifth-year option.
Next offseason, Love will have completed three years in the NFL. At some stage, he will want to start somewhere, even if it’s not in Green Bay.
So, what if Rodgers commits to playing in the 2023 season? Would the Packers consider a trade for Love next year?
If so, which teams would make sense as potential landing spots for the former first-round pick? Here are three to consider.
