Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks ended an era this offseason after trading star quarterback Russell Wilson. A rebuild awaits.

For now, Drew Lock is the Seahawks’ starting quarterback, but there’s every chance they will be looking for a new QB1 in 2023.

Perhaps Seattle will turn to the 2023 NFL Draft. After all, they will likely own a high draft pick.

But what if the Seahawks decide to take a chance on a former first-round pick in Love? Unlike a rookie quarterback, Love already has some valuable regular-season snaps and would have spent three years learning from a future Hall-of-Famer in Aaron Rodgers.

If the Seahawks can work out a new deal with star wide receiver DK Metcalf, Love would have a great WR1 to throw to.

Seattle could then use its top draft picks to strengthen other areas of need.

Perhaps the Seahawks would take a different approach to finding their new quarterback by trading a Day 2 or 3 pick to the Packers for Love, then drafting someone to compete for the starting job.

The Seahawks will likely need a new quarterback entering the 2023 season. The Packers and Seahawks have made some deals in the draft in recent years. Perhaps a trade for Jordan Love would make sense.
