Wide receivers (7)

Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins, Randall Cobb, Amari Rodgers, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Samori Toure

While I don’t love the idea of keeping seven wide receivers, it was difficult to leave one of them out.

Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins, and Randall Cobb are roster locks. The same goes for Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs.

Amari Rodgers struggled last year but was a third-round pick in 2021. It’s too early for the Packers to give up on him. Meanwhile, Samori Toure was one of the standout performers during minicamp. If he continues to impress this summer, how could the Packers not include him in their 53-man roster?

Tight ends (4)

Robert Tonyan, Marcedes Lewis, Josiah Deguara, Tyler Davis

This assumes that Robert Tonyan is cleared to return in time for the start of the season and doesn’t begin on the PUP list.

In that case, Tonyan will resume his role as the Packers’ top pass-catching tight end, while Marcedes Lewis continues his excellent work as a blocker.

Josiah Deguara is a player to watch this summer. He needs a good season.

General manager Brian Gutekunst said earlier this year that the Packers “might have something” in Tyler Davis. It will be interesting to see what role he has this season.
