Three pleasant surprises for the Green Bay Packers in the opening week of training camp.

Just like that, training camp is underway for the Green Bay Packers. The long offseason is over and it’s full steam ahead to Week 1.

The Packers have been without some injured players in the opening few practices, which has created opportunities for players further down the depth chart.

Head coach Matt LaFleur has been rotating players on offense, most notably along the offensive line. The idea is to get a good look at different players in various roles. Starting tackles David Bakhtiari and Elgton Jenkins are among the players still out due to injury, so young offensive linemen have been getting more reps.

There are many interesting positional battles for the Packers at training camp this summer, including wide receiver, defensive tackle, and a few positions along the offensive line. It will be fun to see which players stand out and land starting spots ahead of the regular season.

Every year, there are pleasant surprises at training camp. It’s still early days this summer and there’s a lot of football ahead, but these three players have been pleasant surprises in the opening week so far.
