Packers free agency: 3 dream targets for Green Bay in 2023
Three dream free agency signings for the Green Bay Packers in 2023.
It’s never too early to look ahead to the next offseason. Hopefully, the Green Bay Packers will enter the spring as Super Bowl champions.
Under general manager Brian Gutekunst, the Packers haven’t been afraid to make big free agency moves when necessary. In 2019, Gutekunst signed Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith, Adrian Amos, and Billy Turner in the first week of free agency.
Looking ahead to potential free agents in 2023, which players would be dream signings for Green Bay?
3. TE Dalton Schultz
The potential wide receiver free agency market could be underwhelming, but tight end may be an area they can improve the offense.
Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis are free agents in 2023. Green Bay may need to start over at the position if both players don’t re-sign.
One potential option could be Dalton Schultz, a former fourth-round pick. Schultz has become a top target in the Dallas Cowboys’ offense.
Since the start of 2020, he has caught 141 passes for 1,423 yards and 12 touchdowns. He set career highs in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns last year.
If the Packers need to find a new starting tight end next offseason, Schultz would be a great addition in free agency.
