Cornerbacks (6)

Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, Rasul Douglas, Shemar Jean-Charles, Keisean Nixon, Rico Gafford

We know about the top three. Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, and Rasul Douglas form an outstanding trio.

What’s most interesting this summer is the depth behind those three. So far, Shemar Jean-Charles has played well and looks on course for a backup role. Rico Gafford has also stepped up and impressed, both on defense and special teams.

Due to his ability on special teams, including as a returner, Gafford may land a roster spot.

Safeties (5)

Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage, Shawn Davis, Dallin Leavitt, Tariq Carpenter

A similar story here. We know the Packers’ starting pair will again be Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage. No concerns there.

Shawn Davis looks set to be the number three safety, although he faces competition from new signing Dallin Leavitt. Leavitt adds a lot to the Packers’ special teams.

It will be interesting to see the role rookie Tariq Carpenter has, given his positional versatility.

Specialists (3)

Mason Crosby (kicker), Pat O’Donnell (punter), Jack Coco (long snapper)

Mason Crosby is still out of action due to injury, but the kicking job remains his. The competition comes at long snapper. I’m going with Jack Coco to win the job this summer.
