Defensive linemen (5)

Kenny Clark, Jarran Reed, Dean Lowry, Devonte Wyatt, T.J. Slaton

Wow, this group could be really strong in 2022. We already know what Pro Bowler Kenny Clark brings to this defense. Jarran Reed and Dean Lowry are proven starters, while Devonte Wyatt was a first-round pick this year.

But what about T.J. Slaton? The second-year player has impressed so far this summer, and he backed it up with an excellent start to the preseason. If he can keep this up entering the regular season, look out.

Outside linebackers (5)

Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Kingsley Enagbare, Tipa Galeai, Ladarius Hamilton

With a sack, tackle for loss, and two quarterback hits, the Packers have to be pleased with Kingsley Enagbare’s performance in the preseason opener.

The Packers will want to be able to rotate their pass rushers, so it won’t be a surprise if they keep at least five outside linebackers on the roster.

It was a tough choice for the final couple of spots. Jonathan Garvin has a great shot at making the 53, too.

Inside linebackers (4)

De’Vondre Campbell, Quay Walker, Krys Barnes, Isaiah McDuffie

Remember when inside linebacker was a weakness for the Packers? Not any more.

Isaiah McDuffie was a standout performer in the preseason opener, significantly helping his chances of making the 53.

First-round pick Quay Walker didn’t play many snaps on Friday, but he’s set for a starting job in the regular season.
