Tonight, the Green Bay Packers host the New Orleans Saints in the second week of preseason.

It will be the Packers’ one and only home game of the preseason.

Like last week, there is plenty on the line in this game, especially for players on the roster bubble. Here are three positional battles to watch closely in tonight’s game.

1. Edge rusher

We still don’t know who the EDGE3 will be this season, and we don’t even know which edge rushers will make the roster.

Kingsley Enagbare all but secured his roster spot this week. Not only was he a draft pick, but he also backed up an excellent preseason opener with a strong week of practice.

Enagbare is also making a case to be the third edge rusher behind the starters, but that competition is far from over.

Kobe Jones, Tipa Galeai, and Jonathan Garvin are all in the mix. There’s a lot to play for.

2. No. 3 safety

Vernon Scott and Shawn Davis appear to be going head-to-head for the number three safety spot.

It seems both safeties will make the 53-man roster, but who will be the main backup behind starters Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage?

Both Scott and Davis should get plenty of opportunities versus the Saints.

This competition could go down to the wire. Tonight’s game is another great audition.

3. No. 3 running back

Tyler Goodson has been impressive at training camp, and he put in a strong performance in the Packers’ preseason opener.

Still, the RB3 spot isn’t decided just yet. Patrick Taylor and Dexter Williams will both be looking to impress in the coming weeks.

Another strong performance from Goodson would go a long way to making the RB3 job his.

Running back is a position to watch in the second preseason game against the Saints.
