Packers 53-man roster predictions ahead of final preseason game
With one preseason game remaining, here are our latest Green Bay Packers 53-man roster predictions.
The Green Bay Packers got a victory on the board. Sure, it’s only preseason, but it was still fun to watch.
With only one preseason game remaining, it’s almost decision time for Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst. Soon, he will need to trim the roster down to 53 players.
Not an easy task. Some difficult decisions lie ahead.
But here’s my latest attempt at predicting the roster.
Quarterbacks (2)
Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love
Still no preseason action for reigning back-to-back MVP Aaron Rodgers. That left plenty of snaps for third-year quarterback Jordan Love, and he delivered arguably his best game with the Packers.
Love made some beautiful throws that Rodgers would’ve been proud of. He looked comfortable and at ease running the offense. His decision-making was excellent. He made good passes and knew when to run to pick up yards.
It was a fantastic performance by the Packers’ young quarterback and one that will help his chances of being named the QB1 if Rodgers retires in the next year or two.
Hopefully Love can build on this great performance and finish the preseason strong against the Kansas City Chiefs next week.
