Defensive linemen (6)

Kenny Clark, Jarran Reed, Dean Lowry, Devonte Wyatt, T.J. Slaton, Jack Heflin

T.J. Slaton is having an outstanding summer. The way he’s playing, Slaton deserves to be ahead of first-round pick Devonte Wyatt on the depth chart.

Wyatt has been relatively quiet, but he’s a rookie and this is to be expected. For now, he will be a role player along the defensive line.

I made room for a sixth defensive lineman as Jack Heflin has played well.

Outside linebackers (5)

Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Kingsley Enagbare, Jonathan Garvin, Kobe Jones

The top three are set. Kingsley Enagbare is coming off an excellent week of practice. Right now, he could be the EDGE3 to begin the season.

It’s also hard to ignore how well Kobe Jones has played recently.

Predicting who takes the final one or two spots isn’t easy.

Inside linebackers (4)

De’Vondre Campbell, Quay Walker, Krys Barnes, Isaiah McDuffie

The competition for the final inside linebacker spot may be over. Isaiah McDuffie had another great preseason performance, making six tackles. There’s no way he doesn’t make the 53-man roster.

Krys Barnes also put in a strong performance against the Saints.

It’s hard to believe how much talent and depth the Packers have at inside linebacker. How quickly times have changed.
