Cornerbacks (6)

Jaire Alexander, Eric Stokes, Rasul Douglas, Shemar Jean-Charles, Keisean Nixon, Kiondre Thomas

According to Pro Football Focus, both Shemar Jean-Charles and Kiondre Thomas didn’t allow a single catch versus the Saints. They are both impressing at training camp and deserve to make the 53-man roster.

The top six at cornerback may already be set.

Safeties (4)

Adrian Amos, Darnell Savage, Shawn Davis, Vernon Scott

The Packers are dealing with a number of injuries at safety.

Vernon Scott suffered an injury in the second preseason game. Even if he misses time, the Packers must keep him on the 53-man roster to avoid losing him to another team. That way, they could place him on injured reserve (if necessary) and be able to bring him back this year.

Going on IR now would end his season.

The Packers could decide to keep Dallin Leavitt on the 53, then place him on IR. He’s also dealing with an injury.

Specialists (3)

Mason Crosby (kicker), Pat O’Donnell (punter), Jack Coco (long snapper)

Pat O’Donnell punted well on Friday night with a long of 61 yards. Mason Crosby remains sidelined due to injury, but Ramiz Ahmed converted both of his field goals with a long of 45 yards. Will there be any competition at kicker?

That seems unlikely, but Ahmed played well on Friday night.
