With only one day to go until the deadline, Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby remains on the PUP list.

On Tuesday, the Green Bay Packers will officially trim their roster down to 53 players.

That also means they will need to make a decision on Mason Crosby’s status for the start of the regular season.

Crosby has spent all of training camp on the physically unable to perform list due to a knee injury. The Packers must now decide whether to activate him or keep him on the PUP list.

As of Monday, Crosby remains on the PUP list. For now, head coach Matt LaFleur hasn’t decided to activate the Packers’ longtime kicker.

Crosby has never missed a game for the Packers since entering the league in 2007. It would seem his incredible streak is in jeopardy.

If Crosby isn’t activated and included in the 53-man roster before Tuesday’s deadline, he will remain on the PUP list, which means missing the opening four games of the regular season.

That would leave a lot of uncertainty at kicker.

Would Green Bay look to sign a veteran to fill in for Crosby in the opening month or so of the season? Or would they stick with Ramiz Ahmed?

Ahmed hasn’t missed a kick in the preseason, although there is added pressure when it comes to kicking in the regular season.

So, we will see.

The Packers will make a number of roster moves over the next 24 hours in order to trim their roster down to 53 players.

Time will tell whether one of those moves is to make room for Mason Crosby.
