The long wait for the 2022 season is finally over. As the Green Bay Packers prepare for their regular season opener, here are five bold predictions for Matt LaFleur’s team.

Eight long months have passed since the Green Bay Packers‘ heartbreaking playoff exit at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers.

Hopefully the Packers can take some of the frustrations out on the Minnesota Vikings this week, kickstarting another great season.

Green Bay would love to hit the 13-win mark again in 2022, but the most important thing is translating regular season success into the playoffs.

Anything else will result in another disappointing year.

As the Packers prepare for a challenging opener against the Vikings, here are five bold predictions for the upcoming season.

5. Romeo Doubs wins NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year

Romeo Doubs checked every box over the summer, impressing on the practice field and then in the preseason. He has many traits that can’t be taught. Doubs is a great athlete and makes gaining separation look easy. He also makes a habit of catching tough 50/50 balls.

Doubs had a few drops in the preseason, but this is correctable.

As he continues to earn Aaron Rodgers’ trust, it will be just a matter of time before he becomes one of his top targets.

The departure of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling creates opportunity for the receivers on the roster, including Doubs.

Continue to impress, and Doubs could have a huge season and put himself in contention for the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award.
