The Green Bay Packers kick off their regular season against the Minnesota Vikings, and here are three bold predictions.

The Green Bay Packers may have had their way in the NFC North under head coach Matt LaFleur, but the Minnesota Vikings have given them some trouble, with two wins from the previous three meetings.

Minnesota’s offense features a dominant trio of running back Dalvin Cook and wide receivers Justin Jefferson and Adam Thielen. The Vikings traded for former first-round pick Jalen Reagor in August.

U.S. Bank Stadium is one of the loudest in the league and a daunting venue for opposing teams, especially when it’s a divisional game. In games with fans in attendance, so not including the 2020 season, the Packers have only one victory there.

So it’s clear that LaFleur’s team will need a faster start than the one we saw versus the New Orleans Saints last season. That kind of performance will lead to similar results.

But it’s also a tremendous opportunity to show why the Packers have won three NFC North titles in a row and remain serious Super Bowl contenders. It should make for a fascinating matchup.
