What is the Green Bay Packers’ win-loss record at U.S. Bank Stadium since the Minnesota Vikings’ new home opened in 2016?

The Green Bay Packers open the 2022 regular season with a tricky road game against the Minnesota Vikings.

Not only will they compete against a division rival, but they will play in one of the loudest venues in the NFL.

U.S. Bank Stadium opened in the 2016 regular season. The Packers have played there for six games in the regular season. Their overall record is 2-4 in those games. Let’s look back at each of them.

September 18, 2016: Vikings won 17-14

Not only was this the Packers’ first trip to U.S. Bank Stadium, but also the Vikings’ very first regular season game there.

Green Bay’s offense struggled to get going, turning the ball over three times and only scoring 14 points. The defense played its part, holding Minnesota to only 30 yards of rushing, but it wasn’t enough.

A fourth-quarter touchdown run from Aaron Rodgers closed the gap to three points, but it was too little, too late.

October 15, 2017: Vikings won 23-10

This game is best remembered for Anthony Barr’s hit on Rodgers in the first quarter, one that broke his collarbone.

Brett Hundley entered the game and struggled, throwing for 157 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.

The Packers were 4-1 entering this game having won three in a row, but Rodgers’ injury derailed their season.

November 25, 2018: Vikings won 24-17

Another rough day for the Packers’ offense at U.S. Bank Stadium. Green Bay was 4-5-1 and desperately needed a win.

However, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs combined for 16 catches, 202 yards, and two touchdowns, effectively ending the Packers’ season.

A week later, Mike McCarthy was fired after a home defeat to the Arizona Cardinals.

December 23, 2019: Packers won 23-10

Matt LaFleur’s first trip to U.S. Bank Stadium was a good one. The Packers outplayed the Vikings from the first snap, although a Vikings halftime lead of 10-9 didn’t reflect that due to costly turnovers.

However, Green Bay got it right in the second half, scoring 14 unanswered points. Aaron Jones sealed the NFC North-clinching victory with a 56-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter.

September 13, 2020: Packers won 43-34

With no fans in attendance, we saw the first signs of the Packers’ soon-to-be No. 1 scoring offense in Week 1 of the 2020 season.

Aaron Rodgers began his third MVP season with a breathtaking performance, throwing for 364 yards and four touchdowns. Fourteen of his completions went to Davante Adams, who put up 156 yards and two touchdowns.

November 21, 2021: Vikings won 34-31

We were treated to another offensive showdown in 2021, but this time the Vikings came out on top.

Green Bay fought back from a 23-10 deficit in the second half. Minnesota took a 31-24 lead with little over two minutes remaining, but Rodgers found Marquez Valdes-Scantling on the first play of the next drive, connecting on a 75-yard touchdown pass.

However, the Vikings got into field goal range and Greg Joseph hit a 29-yard game-winner as time expired.
