Victories for the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions mean there is a four-way tie in the NFC North entering Week 3.

One victory, one defeat is the story for all four NFC North teams.

The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions picked up wins in Week 2, while the Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings lost.

It leaves the division in an interesting position entering the third week of the regular season.

NFC North standings entering Week 3

  1. Minnesota Vikings (1-1)
  2. Green Bay Packers (1-1)
  3. Detroit Lions (1-1)
  4. Chicago Bears (1-1)

Divisional record plays a part here. The Vikings are 1-0 in the division after their season-opening win. The Packers are 1-1, the Lions are yet to play an NFC North opponent, while the Bears are 0-1.

Minnesota picked up an impressive win over Green Bay in the season opener but couldn’t back it up on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. The Eagles won 24-7.

The Packers got their first win of the season, beating the Bears on Sunday Night Football.

The Lions were impressive in their 36-27 win over the Washington Commanders, giving them victory number one of the year.

Minnesota, Green Bay, and Chicago have each had one impressive performance.

Detroit’s offense has been a huge surprise. Only the Buffalo Bills have scored more points through two weeks. The Lions have more yards and points than the Kansas City Chiefs.

However, their defense has put them in trouble. They rank third-worst in yards allowed and second-worst in scoring defense. The Lions could be a fun team to watch this season.

Who’s next in Week 3?

The division-leading Vikings host the Lions in what should be a fascinating matchup. Can Detroit’s offense put in another good performance?

A tough road trip awaits the Packers, as they meet Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon.

The Bears have an opportunity to bounce back in a home game against the Houston Texans.
