Ahead of their Week 3 matchup, both the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are dealing with injuries at the wide receiver position.

Will any wide receivers be active when the Green Bay Packers meet the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3? Both teams are hit with injuries at the position.

In total, the teams have a combined nine wide receivers on the Week 3 injury report, and the Buccaneers are also without Mike Evans due to suspension.

For Green Bay, all four receivers on the injury report didn’t practice on Wednesday.

Randall Cobb, who is dealing with an illness, hasn’t practiced this week.

Allen Lazard, Christian Watson, and Sammy Watkins were limited during Wednesday’s practice, but were all downgraded to not practicing on Thursday. Hopefully, it’s more to do with rest rather than being a sign they aren’t likely to play.

Lazard is dealing with an ankle injury that kept him out of the season opener, while Watson and Watkins have hamstring injuries.

It’s a similar story for the Buccaneers.

Along with Mike Evans being suspended, the Bucs could be without Chris Godwin and Julio Jones. Neither player has practiced this week. They were both out of Week 2 due to injury — Godwin has a hamstring injury while Jones is dealing with a knee injury.

Russell Gage was limited for the second day in a row due to a hamstring injury. Breshad Perriman was also limited due to a knee injury.

The good news for the Buccaneers is that Scotty Miller went from limited practice on Wednesday to full practice on Thursday.

But it’s entirely possible both the Packers and Buccaneers will enter Week 3 without their top receivers available.

It would place a greater emphasis on running the football and playing well on defense. Last week, the Packers did that in their victory over the Chicago Bears.
