The Green Bay Packers’ rise in the power rankings continues after their impressive road victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Defeat on the opening day at U.S. Bank Stadium is well and truly behind the Green Bay Packers now.

Matt LaFleur’s team has put together consecutive wins, including a victory in a defensive battle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.

After handing the Bucs their first defeat of the year, the Packers jump ahead of them in the latest NFL Spin Zone power rankings.

Packers move up to No. 3 in Week 4 power rankings

Randy Gurzi’s updated NFL Spin Zone power rankings for Week 4 provide some enjoyable reading for Packers fans.

Green Bay has jumped up two spots to No. 3 in the rankings. Not only did LaFleur’s team move ahead of Tampa Bay, but also the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs.

“It wasn’t a shootout, but it was an important game that could have an impact on postseason seeding down the stretch,” wrote Gurzi.

It absolutely could, and that’s what makes this such a vital victory for Green Bay. Not only does it give the team a winning record for the first time in 2022, it also means they own the head-to-head tiebreaker.

We can be critical of this team’s playoff performances under LaFleur, but they know how to win a lot of football games in the regular season. They find ways to get over the line.

On Sunday, it was all about the defense.

Green Bay sits behind the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles in the power rankings, the only two remaining undefeated teams.

With games coming up against the New England Patriots, New York Giants, and New York Jets, the Packers have an opportunity to pile up victories and put themselves in a strong position in the NFC.
