Packers climb to second in power rankings after Week 4 win
Following their overtime win over the New England Patriots, the Green Bay Packers have moved up in the Week 5 power rankings.
The Green Bay Packers keep on winning.
It took overtime, but the Packers made it three wins in a row by defeating the New England Patriots last weekend.
They now prepare to travel to London, where they will meet the New York Giants at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Ahead of Week 5, Green Bay continues its climb up the NFL Spin Zone power rankings.
Packers up to second in NFL Spin Zone power rankings
Victory over the Patriots was enough to see the Packers climb one position in Randy Gurzi’s Week 5 NFL Spin Zone power rankings.
Matt LaFleur’s team is now second, behind only the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.
“Aaron Rodgers didn’t have insane stats but he did what he needed to and led his team to a 3-1 start, with those three wins now coming in a row,” wrote Gurzi.
Rodgers improved as the game went on, but he struggled in the first half.
According to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Rodgers had a half-time passer rating of 11.2.
However, he responded in the second half with two touchdown passes and some big-time throws, helping the Packers put up 20 points in the final two quarters plus overtime.
Green Bay is yet to put together a complete performance, but there have been significant improvements on special teams and mostly strong play on defense. The Packers just need more consistency on offense moving forward.
They will hope to achieve this when they visit London in Week 5.
Green Bay enters the game 3-1, in good position to make another playoff run. Victory over the Giants would improve Matt LaFleur’s team to an excellent 4-1 with a home game against the New York Jets to come next week at Lambeau Field.
