Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets prediction and odds for Week 6
A look at the latest odds, and a prediction, as the Green Bay Packers host the New York Jets in Week 6.
The Green Bay Packers fell apart in London last week against the New York Giants. They will aim for a better outcome as they host the other team from MetLife Stadium when the New York Jets visit Lambeau Field in Week 6.
The Packers and Jets don’t meet too often, only playing once every four years. Green Bay has won the previous three matchups, including the last time they met at Lambeau Field in 2014.
Green Bay’s last defeat to New York came back in 2006.
Can Matt LaFleur’s team get back on track in Week 6?
Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets odds Week 6
According to FanDuel, the Packers are currently seven-point favorites for the matchup with the Jets in Week 6. Despite their struggles last week and the Jets putting up 40 points on the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay is still favored by a touchdown.
Green Bay’s moneyline is -355, while New York’s is +270.
The over/under for the Week 6 contest is currently 46.5 points.
Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets prediction Week 6
Matt LaFleur’s team has always responded following a regular-season defeat. They have never lost back-to-back games in the same regular season under LaFleur.
While Green Bay is yet to put together four quarters of good football this season, I predict the Packers will get it done against the Jets.
This could be another challenging game for Green Bay. There’s a lot of familiarity between the coaching staffs. LaFleur’s close friend, Robert Saleh, is the Jets’ head coach, while his brother, Mike LaFleur, is the offensive coordinator.
Saleh will have a good game plan to stop Green Bay’s offense.
As ever, it comes down to execution. I predict the Packers will win ugly as they did against the New England Patriots two weeks ago.
