At this stage, it’s hard to see where Amari Rodgers fits into the Green Bay Packers‘ plans.

The second-year wide receiver can barely get a snap on offense, while his struggles on special teams have continued through the opening five weeks of the season.

Now, with Kylin Hill’s return on the horizon, could Rodgers’ time in Green Bay be coming to an end?

Could Amari Rodgers’ time with Packers be nearing end?

According to Pro Football Reference, Rodgers has played just five offensive snaps this season. The Packers have given more opportunities to Juwann Winfree.

When asked about Amari Rodgers’ potential fit on offense last month, quarterback Aaron Rodgers gave a particularly blunt response.

“Yeah, he’s returning for us now. That’s all I got it,” said Aaron Rodgers, according to The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman.

The four-time MVP has gone out of his way to praise some of the young receivers like Romeo Doubs this year, so the fact he offered none of that for Amari Rodgers is notable.

LaFleur doesn’t appear to trust him enough on offense, either, hence the second-year player featuring on only five snaps in as many games.

And after repeated mistakes on special teams, Rodgers’ role on fourth down also appears to be disappearing.

Rodgers was replaced on kick returns by Christian Watson last week. Only after Watson left the game with an injury did Rodgers get an opportunity.

Returning has again been a struggle for the former Clemson wide receiver. He often makes poor decisions, like calling for a fair catch when there is room for a return.

More importantly, Rodgers has fumbled twice in five games, including last week in London.

Running back Kylin Hill returned to practice on Wednesday. Coming off a torn ACL, Hill could be ready to play in the next few weeks. Hill showed some potential as a kick returner last season and could be the Packers’ top choice when he’s back.

With Rodgers becoming tough to trust on punt returns, it’s only a matter of time before he’s replaced. It will come as no surprise if Watson or Randall Cobb is back there returning punts on Sunday against the New York Jets.

Rodgers isn’t used on offense. His fumbles and poor decision-making is becoming an issue on special teams. If he loses his returning jobs, what’s next for Rodgers?
