Predicting Packers’ next four games, record in Weeks 6-9
The Green Bay Packers enter a challenging four-game stretch. How many victories will they have by the end of Week 9?
On paper, the Green Bay Packers‘ next four games might not look all too bad, barring a road matchup against the Buffalo Bills.
However, dig a little deeper and that’s not exactly true.
Green Bay hosts the New York Jets, a team not to overlook after winning three of their opening five games. They enter this contest with a top-12 offense and top-10 defense.
The next three are on the road. That includes a trip to Ford Field, a place the Packers have lost three times on their previous five visits.
And, of course, the Packers also play arguably the best team in football when they visit Buffalo in Week 8.
But Matt LaFleur’s team knows how to win a lot of games. So, how many victories will they have following the next four-game stretch?
Week 6 – Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets
It might not be a dominant performance, but the Packers get the job done back at Lambeau Field.
Green Bay’s passing offense has been far too inconsistent in the opening five games, and this may not be the matchup to put that right. New York is 10th against the pass and has forced seven interceptions in the opening five weeks.
Still, Aaron Rodgers is a master of protecting the football, despite having three interceptions this season.
This is far from an easy matchup, and the Jets’ ability to move the ball on the ground may be an issue.
However, with the game being at Lambeau, I expect a bounce-back performance from the Packers.
It isn’t easy — nothing has been this season — but they lean on Aaron Jones and edge past the Jets for a much-needed victory.
Prediction: Green Bay 27, New York 24 (4-2)
