2. Reshuffle the offensive line

Matt LaFleur isn’t getting his best five offensive linemen on the field each week.

Royce Newman can’t continue to start. He has become a major problem for the Packers. Elgton Jenkins’ transition to right tackle hasn’t gone to plan. Changes are needed along the offensive line.

Green Bay gave up four sacks and nine quarterback hits on Sunday. They had no answer for Quinnen Williams, who made two sacks, three quarterback hits, two tackles for loss, and even blocked a field goal.

It starts with Newman. According to Pro Football Focus, Newman allowed six pressures on 44 pass-blocking snaps, taking his total to 18 pressures allowed this season.

I predicted that the Packers would bench Newman versus the Jets, and they did. Unfortunately, they replaced him with Jake Hanson and, when Hanson left the game due to injury, went straight back to Newman.

If the Packers don’t feel rookie Zach Tom is ready, Jenkins needs to move back to guard. That’s his best position. Yosh Nijman has proven himself as a solid starting tackle, and he can take over on the right side.

Jenkins would help strengthen the interior offensive line at guard, where he was a Pro Bowler two years ago, while Nijman fixes the issues at right tackle.
