Week 9: at Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions are allowing 34 points per game. Their defense ranks 32nd in points allowed. If the Packers can’t find success against this defense, they have a real problem.

However, this won’t be an easy game. Detroit’s offense ranks second in the NFL for total yards and third for points scored. And that’s despite being shut out by the New England Patriots a couple of weeks ago.

The Packers often struggle at Ford Field, even in games they have won. Another tough challenge awaits, but they find a way to score just enough against the Lions’ defense.

Prediction: Green Bay 27, Detroit 24 (5-4)

Week 10: vs. Dallas Cowboys

Mike McCarthy returns to Lambeau Field for the first time, and he’ll be aiming to get a victory over his former team.

McCarthy’s Cowboys are off to an excellent start this season, going 4-2, despite not having star quarterback Dak Prescott in their past five games.

The Cowboys are only allowing 16.3 points per game and could create serious problems for the Packers’ offense. And with Prescott back by Week 10, McCarthy returns to Lambeau and beats the Packers.

Prediction: Dallas 27, Green Bay 17 (5-5)

Week 11: vs. Tennessee Titans

The games don’t get much easier for the Packers. However, this is a more favorable matchup. Tennessee has the league’s bottom-ranked pass defense entering Week 7, and also has the second-worst offense.

Desperately needing a win, the Packers find a way at home.

Prediction: Green Bay 24, Tennessee 20 (6-5)
