Everything you need to know about the Green Bay Packers ahead of the upcoming trade deadline.

If the Green Bay Packers plan to add a player or two via a trade, they only have a couple of weeks left to do so.

After losing two in a row, perhaps there should be a sense of urgency to make a deal.

The Packers could decide to make a trade, or they may opt against it while remaining “in the conversation”, a phrase we so often hear.

With the deadline coming up, here are some of the biggest questions for the Packers.

When is the 2022 NFL trade deadline?

The 2022 NFL trade deadline is on November 1 at 3 p.m. CT.

Should Packers buy, sell, or do nothing?

Buy.

When Green Bay gave Aaron Rodgers a new deal and restructured a number of contracts, the team decided to go all-in. That’s a commitment they must stick to.

So far this season, the Packers haven’t looked like a Super Bowl team. An addition or two to the roster may help change that.

Green Bay should be buyers and looking to strengthen at areas of need before the deadline on November 1.

Where could the Packers look to upgrade?

Wide receiver is the most obvious position to target. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, he has spoken to general managers who are “certain” that the Packers want to get wide receiver help before the trade deadline.

Understandably so. Green Bay’s offense has looked lost without Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb have played well, and Romeo Doubs has shown potential, but consistency just hasn’t been there on offense. Perhaps trading for a player like Chase Claypool or D.J. Moore could help the offense get back to its best.

While unlikely, perhaps Green Bay would consider a move for an interior offensive lineman. Elgton Jenkins’ ability to move inside makes that less of a need, and the Packers have rookie Zach Tom as an option.

Could Green Bay add a defensive lineman? It looked like an area of strength on defense entering the season, but Joe Barry’s unit hasn’t been able to stop the run.

GM Brian Gutekunst should add talent wherever possible, but wide receiver would make the most sense before the trade deadline.
