The Green Bay Packers need to start winning, but in the meantime, these three teams can also help their playoff chances in Week 8.

The Green Bay Packers can’t afford to keep losing games. After three straight defeats, they now face the daunting task of trying to beat the Buffalo Bills on the road.

There’s every chance Green Bay will fall to 3-5 following this weekend. Even then, the team’s playoff dreams wouldn’t be completely over.

It may only be Week 8, a little early for playoff discussions, but the Packers could do with a little help from elsewhere in the conference.

Here are three teams that can help Green Bay in Week 8.

Baltimore Ravens (at Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

A loss for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night would seriously dent their playoff hopes. Playing in a weak division would keep them in the mix, but a 3-5 record would hurt their chances of a wild-card berth if they are unable to win the NFC South.

Green Bay could join Tampa Bay at 3-5 with a loss to Buffalo on Sunday, but the Packers don’t want the Buccaneers pulling ahead in the standings.

While the Bucs have been struggling, they have the talent to turn things around. Root for the AFC team to win.

Indianapolis Colts (vs. Washington Commanders)

While it would be great to see the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers lose on Sunday, they play against each other. Instead, let’s pick an AFC team against the Washington Commanders.

The Commanders share the Packers’ 3-4 record but defeated Green Bay last week to take the head-to-head tiebreaker. A loss would hurt their playoff chances.

Arizona Cardinals (at Minnesota Vikings)

You could argue it would be better for the 3-4 Arizona Cardinals to have their playoff odds dented, but they are playing against the NFC North leaders this week.

If the Packers are to have any hope of catching the Vikings in the division, they need Minnesota to start losing some games. Maybe the Cardinals can pull off a win this week.
