EDGE Bradley Chubb, Denver Broncos

A third Denver Broncos player makes the list.

According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, there is potential interest around the league in Broncos edge rusher Bradley Chubb.

With the Broncos quickly falling out of playoff contention, perhaps they would be willing to make a deal for Chubb, who is in the final year of his contract.

Chubb only played in seven games last season and didn’t have a single sack, but he’s off to a great start in 2022.

The former fifth overall pick has made 5.5 sacks and eight quarterback hits in the Broncos’ opening seven games, and he has also defended the run well, something the Packers have struggled with. According to ESPN, Chubb ranks seventh among edge rushers in run stop win rate.

This season, the Packers have a combined 9.5 sacks from starting edge rushers Rashan Gary and Preston Smith, but there has been a lack of production from the other pass rushers on the roster, although rookie Kingsley Enagbare has two sacks in the past two games.

Green Bay would need to be willing to pay Chubb as his contract expires next offseason. If so, the team would be adding a talented young pass rusher for multiple years.

Chubb could become an important player for the Packers’ defense this season and in the long term.
