Packers Week 8 injury report: Rashan Gary returns to practice
Rashan Gary returned to practice for the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, which is hopefully a good sign for his availability in Week 8.
The Green Bay Packers may be without some key players on Sunday night when they take on the Buffalo Bills, but star edge rusher Rashan Gary took a step in the right direction on Thursday.
Green Bay will need as many starters available as possible ahead of a crucial matchup against Buffalo on Sunday night.
Here’s a closer look at the updated injury report for Thursday.
Packers Week 8 injury report: Rashan Gary returns to practice
Wide receiver Allen Lazard and cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles were the only two players to miss practice for the second day in a row.
It means there’s a real possibility the Packers will be without both players on Sunday against the Bills.
Left tackle David Bakhtiari also didn’t practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. This could just be a case of managing his workload, especially after missing last week’s game. We’ll see.
There was some more encouraging news on Thursday, though.
Edge rusher Rashan Gary, who is in the concussion protocol, was limited on Thursday after not practicing on Wednesday. It’s a step in the right direction and hopefully a sign that Gary will be able to clear the concussion protocol in time for the game.
Offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins also returned to practice after sitting out on Wednesday. He was a limited participant.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was limited after not practicing on Wednesday. This follows a similar schedule to recent weeks while he deals with an injured thumb.
Wide receivers Sammy Watkins and Christian Watson — both dealing with hamstring injuries — remained limited for the second day in a row. The Packers will need both of them against the Bills on Sunday. Hopefully they will be available.
