Packers have 17 players on injury report for Week 10 vs. Cowboys
Seventeen players are on the Green Bay Packers‘ injury report for Week 10. You read that right — seventeen.
Let’s start with the good news: Christian Watson was removed from the injury report on Thursday. He was in the concussion protocol but practiced in full on Wednesday. Head coach Matt LaFleur said this week that Watson didn’t suffer a concussion in the game against the Detroit Lions.
Unfortunately, that’s about where the good news on the injury report ends this week.
Six players didn’t practice on Thursday. Rashan Gary is one, as he has since been placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
Inside linebackers Krys Barnes (concussion) and De’Vondre Campbell (knee) are yet to practice this week, putting their availability for Week 10 in doubt.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, wide receiver Romeo Doubs has a high-ankle sprain. As expected, he hasn’t practiced so far this week.
Cornerback Eric Stokes, who is dealing with ankle and knee injuries, also hasn’t practiced this week. There still hasn’t been an update on his injury and whether he will play again this season.
The other player not to practice on Thursday was tight end Marcedes Lewis, who was given veteran rest.
Eleven players were limited on Thursday: Tackle David Bakhtiari (knee), kicker Mason Crosby (back), cornerback Rasul Douglas (calf), cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles (ankle), offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (knee), running back Aaron Jones (ankle), wide receiver Allen Lazard (shoulder), quarterback Aaron Rodgers (thumb), guard Jon Runyan Jr. (knee), edge rusher Preston Smith (ankle/knee), and wide receiver Sammy Watkins (knee).
Yep, it’s a long list.
The only full participant was Christian Watson, who has been removed from the injury report.
So, not only have the Packers lost five games in a row and have to take on the Dallas Cowboys this week, but they also have a number of starters on the injury report. Not good.
