Green Bay Packers safety Rudy Ford is having the game of his life, making two first-half interceptions against the Dallas Cowboys.

Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst has made some great in-season additions over the years.

Last year, it was Rasul Douglas. This season? Rudy Ford?

With Eric Stokes injured, Packers safety Darnell Savage has spent more time in the slot in Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. This has led to more snaps for Ford at safety.

And he has made a huge impact in the game.

Ford intercepted Dak Prescott in the end zone, preventing the Cowboys from taking a two-touchdown lead. It led to a Green Bay touchdown, with Aaron Rodgers connecting with Christian Watson.

On the next Cowboys drive, Ford came up with another interception. Once again, it led to a touchdown, this time from Aaron Jones.

Had it not been for Ford’s first-half performance, the Packers may have fallen way behind in the game. The Cowboys had a 7-0 lead plus first-and-goal after forcing a fumble on Aaron Rodgers.

It would’ve been a long way back for Green Bay had it fallen two touchdowns behind, especially coming off five consecutive defeats.

However, Ford stepped up with one of the Packers’ most important defensive plays of the season.

Ford has played well this season when at safety. He was signed to mostly play special teams, but he has made a difference on defense too.

Green Bay and Dallas are tied at 14-14 at halftime. Had it not been for Ford, it could’ve been a comfortable Cowboys lead.
