5 biggest takeaways from Packers’ win over Cowboys in Week 10
Aaron Jones dominates Cowboys yet again
Aaron Jones loves playing against the Dallas Cowboys, and he had another huge game on Sunday.
In three career games against Dallas, Jones has rushed 62 times for 370 yards and six touchdowns. That’s an average of 5.97 yards per carry and two touchdowns per game.
The Packers knew they needed to lean on their talented running backs against the Cowboys. Matt LaFleur kept turning to the ground game, and to great success.
Jones led the way with 24 carries, the most he’s had in a game this season, putting up 138 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 5.8 yards per attempt.
When Jones is featured and at his best, the Packers are tough to stop offensively.
It’s no surprise that in a game where Jones was given 24 carries and dominated, Aaron Rodgers also had a great performance. Rodgers only threw the ball 20 times, but put up 224 yards and three touchdowns. Green Bay also posted 30+ points for the first time this season.
With the ground game working, Green Bay could open up the play-action passing game.
The Packers can’t rely on their passing game to deliver every week. Aaron Jones needs to remain the focus of the offense.
For the third time in as many career games against the Cowboys, Jones dominated.
