Packers climb Week 11 power rankings after beating Cowboys
Following their victory over the Dallas Cowboys, the Green Bay Packers have moved up four spots in the latest NFL Spin Zone power rankings.
Finally, a win for the Green Bay Packers.
After five straight defeats, Matt LaFleur’s team desperately needed a good result in their game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10.
And that’s exactly what they got, fighting back from a two-touchdown deficit in the fourth quarter before beating Mike McCarthy’s Cowboys in overtime.
It was perhaps the Packers’ best performance of the season and their most entertaining game of the year.
More importantly, it put an end to a long losing run and, for now, saved their season.
As a result of their victory, the Packers have moved up in the Week 11 power rankings.
Packers up to 17th in Week 11 power rankings
The Packers had been rapidly falling in Randy Gurzi’s power rankings for NFL Spin Zone.
However, victory over the Cowboys put an end to that. With the important win, Green Bay has climbed up to 17th, having sat at 21st in last week’s rankings.
To continue to move back closer to the top 10, Green Bay will need more solid performances from the offense.
The offense leaned on the ground game, Aaron Jones taking on a featured role. Dallas had no answer for Green Bay’s rushing attack, and that created opportunities for Aaron Rodgers to find rookie wide receiver Christian Watson, the two connecting on three touchdown passes.
If Watson can put the drops behind him and become more consistent, it will dramatically help the offense moving forward. Watson has game-changing potential, as we saw Sunday afternoon versus Dallas.
The Packers will need another big performance from their offense when they host the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football.
Can Green Bay make it two wins in a row?
