Get healthy

One of the main benefits of the bye week is a chance to get healthy. After playing every week since September, the Packers desperately need some extra time off.

Hopefully when they return in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams, they will have some key players back from injury.

The Packers got starting inside linebacker De’Vondre Campbell back from injury against the Bears. He now gets an additional week of rest before the final stretch of games.

Wide receiver Romeo Doubs practiced this week, but he wasn’t ready to make his return on Sunday. With the bye to get fully healthy, hopefully the Packers will have him back in their next game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Safety Darnell Savage is dealing with a foot injury that kept him out of this game. The bye week gives him extra time to get healthy before the next game.

Aaron Rodgers hasn’t missed a game, but he has been playing through a thumb injury for most of the season and now a rib injury he suffered last week against the Philadelphia Eagles.

A week off will help each player dealing with an injury get closer to 100 percent.

The Packers need to play their best football in the final four games. Getting healthy will help.
