It was great to see the Green Bay Packers get a rare victory in Week 13, especially against the Chicago Bears.

For now, it means the Packers remain in playoff contention. And while that’s true, dreams of another Super Bowl win in the Aaron Rodgers era aren’t quite over. Not yet.

But a lot of work, and some luck, will be required following the Packers’ Week 14 bye.

FanSided’s Matt Verderame has updated his power rankings for Week 14. While the Packers do move up a few spots, they are still only 19th, which sums up the mess they have put themselves in this season.

“Aaron Rodgers has seen this season turn into a nightmare, but he still owns the Bears,” wrote Verderame.

While this season is likely lost, at least we still have that. Rodgers’ incredible record over the Bears got even better on Sunday, while Matt LaFleur improved to an impressive 8-0 over the Packers’ oldest rivals.

Rodgers needs to recapture his run-the-table form to give the Packers a chance in the final four weeks of the season. Christian Watson’s breakout and the return of Romeo Doubs will undoubtedly help.

Green Bay almost certainly needs four wins from four, starting against the Los Angeles Rams at Lambeau Field, who will likely have Baker Mayfield at quarterback.

The Packers will play their final road game of the season on Christmas Day against the red-hot Miami Dolphins, another game they must win.

Achieve that, and maybe they will start to believe. Green Bay’s final two games of the regular season are at home against the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.

If they can win out, a 9-8 record might be enough for the seventh seed, but only if the Seattle Seahawks, Washington Commanders, or New York Giants lose multiple games.

We’ll see what happens. At least Aaron Rodgers still owns the Bears.
