How about a reunion with Davante Adams?

Maybe the Las Vegas Raiders will decide to stick with Derek Carr at quarterback moving forward, but moving on from Carr is very doable.

They already have $35.5 million in cap space for 2023 but would create an additional $29.25 million by releasing Carr. That could open the door for an Aaron Rodgers trade.

The Rodgers-to-Adams connection was unstoppable for many years for the Packers. Maybe they could reconnect in Las Vegas. Rodgers would also have Darren Waller and Hunter Renfrow to throw to, along with Josh Jacobs in the backfield, if he is re-signed.

The Raiders traded for Adams a year ago, hoping the move would help them compete with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West. The Raiders have won three of their past four games, but it appears to be too little, too late after a slow start.

Perhaps a change of quarterback could help them compete while players like Adams and Waller are still at their best.

And they wouldn’t have to worry about Rodgers needing time to build a connection with his receivers. He spent years dominating defenses with Adams.

A trade with the Packers for Rodgers could be exactly what they need.
