With three games to go, the Green Bay Packers‘ first-round draft pick could still go either way.

If the season ended today, they would pick 13th in the first round.

However, although there are only a few games to go, Green Bay’s pick could end up as high as the top 10 or as low as 31st. Hey, the Packers can still win the Super Bowl.

Entering Week 16, here’s the updated first-round draft order for 2023:

Packers currently own 13th pick in 2023 NFL Draft

  1. Houston Texans (1-12-1)
  2. Chicago Bears (3-11)
  3. Seattle Seahawks – from Denver Broncos (4-10)
  4. Detroit Lions – from Los Angeles Rams (4-10)
  5. Arizona Cardinals (4-10)
  6. Indianapolis Colts (4-9-1)
  7. Atlanta Falcons (5-9)
  8. Carolina Panthers (5-9)
  9. Philadelphia Eagles – from New Orleans Saints (5-9)
  10. Las Vegas Raiders (6-8)
  11. Jacksonville Jaguars (6-8)
  12. Houston Texans – from Cleveland Browns (6-8)
  13. Green Bay Packers (6-8)
  14. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-8)
  15. Seattle Seahawks (7-7)
  16. New England Patriots (7-7)
  17. New York Jets (7-7)
  18. Detroit Lions (7-7)
  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-8)
  20. Tennessee Titans (7-7)
  21. Washington Commanders (7-6-1)
  22. Los Angeles Chargers (8-6)
  23. New York Giants (8-5-1)
  24. Baltimore Ravens (9-5)
  25. Denver Broncos – from San Francisco 49ers (10-4)
  26. Dallas Cowboys (10-4)
  27. Cincinnati Bengals (10-4)
  28. Kansas City Chiefs (11-3)
  29. Minnesota Vikings (11-3)
  30. Buffalo Bills (11-3)
  31. Philadelphia Eagles (13-1)

Realistically, Green Bay won’t be picking with the final selection of the first round. However, it’s still possible to land a playoff berth, which would mean picking no earlier than 19th overall.

The opposite could also be true. The Packers’ remaining games are against the Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions. It’s entirely possible Green Bay closes out the season with three straight defeats.

That would leave Matt LaFleur’s team with a 6-11 record, which would almost certainly be good for a top-10 pick.

In last year’s draft, a 6-11 record was good for the seventh overall pick, which the New York Giants used to select offensive tackle Evan Neal.

The Packers likely won’t be picking inside the top five, but anywhere from a top-10 selection to a pick somewhere around 17th would seem to be realistic at this stage.
